The uniqueness of its exhibits, the artworks and the three dimensional constructions created by children 5-14 years old, characterize the MUSEUM OF CHILDREN’S ART, as a Museum among the very few in its kind around the world. In its 22 years of existence, the Museum of Children’s Art, follows its initial vision which is “learning, through Art”, by participating in the essential breakthroughs that each child has to face on a daily basis and by selecting relevant thematics for the exhibitions it realizes in its premises. Within the context of the new exhibition “Alone or Unique? diversity and racism”, the members of the Museum’s Educational Department have designed and daily conduct, educational school programs that address to preschool children and Elementary School pupils.

Based on the educational approach that the Museum suggests - through Art- the artworks of children in the same age that are presented in the exhibition, offer pupils the opportunity to articulate their thoughts and ideas, start a conversation among them and develop their concerns. The video constitutes a small sample of wisdom that they have inside of them.

This project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Grants Greek NGO Programme “We are all Citizens”. The Bodossaki Foundation is the Fund Operator of this Programme. The Programme aims to strengthen civil society and enhance the contribution of NGOs to social justice, democracy and sustainable development.
