The closing event of the EEA Grants Greek NGO Programme "We are all Citizens", celebrated in Athens on 18 and 19 November 2016, has been a great opportunity to demonstrate a vibrant, dynamic Greek civil society, as empowered by the EEA Grants.

The event’s activities included the following:

Friday, 18 November 2016:
•    Morning activities and educational workshops for school children
•    Evening: the official presentation of the programme’s results in front of donor representatives, civil society stakeholders, project promoters, project partners and the media

Saturday, 19 November 2016: a full day of activities, workshops, performances, exhibitions, screenings, speeches and thematic panels, inspired by the EEA Grants NGO programme, open to the public.

More than 4,200 people attended the two-day festivities in total; more than 150 volunteers and NGO representatives worked with the team of the Bodossaki Foundation to make this event a success; 75% of NGOs and invitees have ranked the closing event of the programme with the top rank (5) from a scale 1 – 5.

Stories of the true heroes of the EEA Grants, those that have either made the projects happen or have benefitted from their implementation, are the subject of our latest English edition entitled “Our little stories book”; available on-line through this link
